At the beginning of the year I got my first stamp set from Guernsey.
Guernsey is the second-largest Channel Island. Guernsey is neither a part of the European Union nor of the United Kingdom, but a British Crown Dependency. The capital of Guernsey is Saint Peter Port. Guernsey issues it's own stamps since 1958.
The stamp set was this:
Mr Men and Little Miss (issued 15-05-2008)
- Mr Happy
- Mr Bump
- Little Miss Naughty
- Mr Greedy
- Mr Strong
- Mr Tickle
Mr Men is a British children's book series written by Roger Hargreaves (1935-1988). The characters are creatures with a distinct temperament, characteristic or body part.
Roger Hargreaves lived awhile on Guernsey.
I love the Little Miss Naughty stamp ;) I liked reading the books to my son... now "sadly" no longer little enough to read them to!
