Birds and Symbolism

On 5th August I got my stamp order from Jersey.

This is one stamp set I ordered:

The set includes this year's two EUROPA stamps from Jersey. Jersey takes part in the Europa Stamps Bird Project, so the stamps can be scanned to listen to the birds.

Austria's Glowing Moon Landing Sheet

In early August (2nd to 12th) I was in Austria and there I bought a souvenir sheet for my collection.

Birth Bicentenary of Queen Victoria

On 1st August I got my stamp order from the United Kingdom.

This is one stamp set I ordered:

- Queen Victoria and John Brown
- Queen Victoria wearing her Robes of State
- Queen Victoria during her marriage with Prince Albert

I also bought the souvenir sheet of this issue, which includes stamps of four buildings connected with Prince Albert.

On 1st August I got my stamp order from the United Kingdom.

On 1st August I got my stamp order from Ireland.

Ireland is taking part in the Europa Stamps Bird Project, so these stamps can be scanned to listen to the birds.

On 1st August I got my stamp order from Ireland.

This is one stamp set I ordered:

The stamps show four American astronauts with Irish ancestry.
- Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon
- Eileen Collins, the first female pilot and commander of a Space Shuttle
- Catherine "Cady" Coleman, veteran of two Space Shuttle missions
- Michael Collins, command module pilot for Apollo 11
